BSACS301A – Apply the principles of confidentiality and security within a legal environment
This Unit covers the use of ethical behaviour when dealing with sensitive and confidential information in a legal environment. This unit is based on the generic principles stated in the State's Legal Practice Acts. It is essential that these principles are followed and that they inform all aspects of work in a legal office.

BSALPP301A – Apply knowledge of legal systems to complete tasks
This Unit covers the completion of a range of common legal administrative duties and the knowledge of the legal system that is required to carry them out. This unit of competency underpins all units of competency in the Legal Services stream of the Administration Training Package.

BSBALPP302A – Carry out search of the public record
This Unit covers completing a search of the public record. This involves planning and conducting the search, and obtaining and delivering the information according to instructions. This unit of competency underpins all units of competency in the Legal Services stream of the Administration Training Package.

BSALPP303A – Deliver court documentation
This Unit covers organising court documents for delivery, planning a schedule of delivery, delivering documents to the appropriate courts and returning proof of document lodgement.

BSALR301A – Handle receipt and despatch of information
This Unit covers receiving and distributing incoming mail and collecting and despatching outgoing mail. It also covers collating and despatching bulk mail according to Australia Post and AUSDOC specifications.

BSALC301A – Use legal terminology in order to carry out tasks
This Unit covers understanding and using legal terminology in order to undertake tasks. This unit of competency underpins all units of competency in the Legal Services stream of the Administration Training Package.

BSALO301A – Assist in prioritising and planning activities in a legal practice
This Unit covers assisting others (for example, Partner, Solicitor, Fee Earner, Human Resources Manager, External Client) to organise a legal schedule. This involves arranging appointments and other activities based upon court dates and required legislative timelines.

BSALF301A – Maintain records for time and disbursements in a legal practice
This Unit covers demonstrating an understanding of maintaining time records and entering disbursements incurred. This unit of competency underpins all units of competency in the Legal Services stream of the Administration Training Package.

BSBFLM303B – Contribute to effective workplace relationships
This unit specifies the outcomes required to gather information and maintain effective working relationships and networks, with particular regard to communication and representation. Frontline managers have a key role in contributing to efficient and effective work teams within the context of the organisation. They play a prominent part in motivating, mentoring, coaching and developing team cohesion through providing leadership for the team and forming the bridge between the management of the organisation and the team members. At this level, work will normally be carried out within known routines, methods and procedures which require the exercise of some discretion and judgement.  

BSBCMN201A – Work effectively in a business environment
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to work effectively within a commercial or business environment. It includes identifying the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers and conducting business in accordance with the organisational goals, values and standards.

BSBCMN202A – Organise and complete daily work activities
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to organise and complete own work activities, and obtain feedback on work performance.

BSBCMN205A – Use business technology
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to select, use, and maintain business technology. This technology includes the effective use of computer software to organise information and data.

BSBCMN304A – Contribute to personal skills, development and learning
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to support own learning and skill development needs in the context of an organisation's goals and objectives.

BSBCMN305A – Organise workplace information
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to gather, organise and apply workplace information in the context of an organisation's work processes and information management systems.

BSBCMN306A – Produce business documents
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to produce various business documents. It includes the skills and knowledge required to select and use a range of functions on a computer application.

BSBCMN310A – Deliver and monitor a service to customers
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to identify customers' needs and monitor a service provided to customers.

BSBCMN312A – Support innovation and change
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to contribute ideas for improved work practices and to support the implementation of innovative work practices to effect change. This unit draws on the work of the Innovative Work Skills project of the Australian National Training Authority.

BSBADM303A – Produce texts from audio transcription
This unit covers transcribing audio tapes and producing accurate texts from the transcriptions.

BSBADM306A – Create electronic presentations
This unit covers the design of electronic presentations for speakers, self-access and on-line access.
