This unit addresses the application of skills and knowledge to the selection and confirmation of appropriate international market(s) including identifying the target market, profiling the target audience and developing a positioning strategy.

BSBINT502A – Analyse consumer behaviour for specific markets
This unit specifies the outcomes required to analyse consumer behaviour for specific international markets. This unit addresses the application of knowledge and skills to confirm the target market, assess the current level of consumer interest, and develop and document recommended marketing strategies.

BSBINT503A – Analyse data from international markets
This unit specifies the outcomes required to analyse data from international markets. This unit addresses the application of knowledge and skills to interpret international trends and market developments, to interpret competitor market performance and report on market data. The purpose and intent of the report is to assist the organisation to target marketing activities and draw up marketing plans.

BSBINT505A – Build international client relationships
This unit specifies the outcomes required to build effective international client relationships. It addresses the application of knowledge and skills to build, maintain and improve effective relationships with international clients including building interpersonal communication strategies; and analysing, identifying and applying culturally appropriate communication strategies with these clients.

This unit specifies the outcomes required to report on finances related to international business activity. This unit specifies the outcomes required by frontline managers to facilitate all aspects of team work within the organisation. It involves taking a leadership role in the development of team plans, leading and facilitating team work and actively engaging with the management of the organisation. Frontline managers have an important role in development and empowerment of work teams. This will be evident in the way frontline managers work with teams and individuals, work across teams, and the initiative they take in strengthening the links between teams and the organisation’s management.
