Student Care

Some of the services available to our students include:

Accommodation
While studying, students have a range of accommodation options, including "homestays" and hotels. Brisbane Commercial College can arrange everything for your arrival, allowing you to concentrate on learning English.  Our staff are committed to ensuring that all students have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Homestay
Family dinnerLiving with a host family means students experience Australian life and culture. It gives students an opportunity to practise their language skills with native English speakers every day. Students become a member of their Australian host family for the duration of their stay.

There are many different types of homestay families - from families with children to single-person households. Homestay families enjoy looking after guests and meeting people from all over the world.

Students in homestay accommodation are provided with full board. This includes: breakfast, a packed lunch, dinner, electricity/gas, a private bedroom and the use of most household facilities.

When placing students, special dietary, health and/or religious requirements are also taken into consideration.

Qualified Brisbane Commercial College staff inspect all homestay accommodation regularly, to ensure high quality student care and safety standards are maintained.

Airport Transfer
We can arrange to collect students from the airport and transport them to their accommodation, upon request.

Student Orientation
Brisbane Commercial College conducts an orientation session for new students on their first day of school. Students are provided with all the important information they will need while studying in Australia. They are also informed of the various services that are available to them, as a student of the College. An Induction Pack is given to all students to make the transition as comfortable as possible.

International Student Health Insurance
The Australian Government requires that all holders of a student visa in Australia maintain some form of international student health insurance. If students require assistance with organising their health insurance, they should contact their agent in the first instance. If they do not have an agent, our College staff can assist, if required.
